Similar to Cardboard & Paper, this waste stream is segregated at our Recycling Facility, cleaned, graded, baled, and stored on site. Once a full load is ready, it is then transported for reprocessing in the UK/EU.
We are licenced to transport waste, but not to process it at our facility. Asbestos Skips can be supplied. These are then transported to a licenced Hazardous Waste facility for disposal.
Any waste which we are unable to recycle is taken from site to “Energy from Waste” plants.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is not permitted in our skips. Incidental items are Quarantined and collected by an external company for recycling.
It is important that Plasterboard is segregated from any other wastes. We can supply separate skips or bags for this waste. This material is stored on our site and transported to a specialised site in Weston-Super-Mare, where it is 100% recycled.
Recycled Wood is sorted into grades, and then transported, using our walking floor trailers, to Eco Composting & Southwest Wood, after which it is used as a biomass fuel for local power stations.
Any metal waste that arrives at our Recycling Facility is separated into grades and transported to local Scrap Metal Merchants for recycling.
Once cleaned and graded, this waste stream is baled. We store the made bales on site and, once a full load is ready, they are transported for reprocessing at the mills in the UK/EU.
This is segregated on site at our Recycling facility, before being transported off site to be crushed and recycled into further glass products.
This material is recovered at our Recycling facility. We then transport it to Eco Composting in Weymouth where it undergoes the process of making compost.
This material is recovered at our Recycling facility, where we process it with our screener to make graded Topsoil.
Various aggregates are collected and segregated at our Recycling Facility We screen and crush the collected material to make a range of Recycled Aggregates under our WRAP Protocol.
